Proceso by sadiek Proceso by sadiek

A. Boceto inicial.

Here's a brief explanation of my process. Hope you like

A. Initial sketch . I use brown or reddish tones because they are easier to work with in my opinion, and in the color phase they don't interfere with the lighting and the mood . Black is super aggressive and distracting so I wouldn't suggest it . At this stage and I have marked where the shadows will fall.

B. I block out  the shadows from the main light source, with the intensity I need. Since this is sunlight, the shadows are very intense.

C. I add " reflected lights", which are the product of that light bouncing off materials it touches. The couch is bright yellow so the light bounces off a lot more (marked in red arrows) : on the girl, on the wall... it spreads in all directions. This light acquires the colour of the material, in this case yellow.

D. I erase all the shadows from the sketch and start polishing.

E. Add details.

F. I finish texturing . Adjust colours with a layer of "Color Balance" and apply the "dodge tool" in parts where the light hits to make the
lights brighter.
